O Lord, give me the ears that can hear the cries for mercy and a gentle hand to ease their pain O Lord, give me the eyes to see the hate and prejudice around me and the courage to do something about it. O Lord, give me the sense of smell that I can smell the sweetness of your creation and block out the stench of evil so I can love all without prejudice O Lord, give me a tongue that I can speak the words of comfort to those in need when no one else knows the words to speak. O Lord, give me the sense of touch that I can lay my hands on those in pain, and they will know through my touch that you, my Jesus, are with them. But most of all, Lord Jesus, give me the gift of love so I can honor, love, and serve you on this earth and be happy with you in heaven. Happy Valentine’s Day and a Blessed Lenten Season! Sincerely, Sister M. Kevin Berdis, O.S.F. |
