Holy Family is a small Catholic School on Erie's lower east side.  Holy Family was founded in 1915 by the late Father Andrew Jurcak, then pastor of Holy Family Parish.  The first classes were held in the basement of Holy Family Church until the parish could afford a separate school building.  The present building was opened in September of 1949 under the leadership of the late Msgr. Stephen H. Meko.  Holy Family School has educated thousands of children by dedicated religious and lay faculty members for over 85 years.  Today Holy Family School continues to serve the families of East Erie helping to develop strong moral and religious values.

GOAL 1 1.  At Holy Family School we will incorporate quarterly one of the four virtues from the Catholic School Week logo," Dividends for Life" - faith, knowledge, discipline, morals 2.  Each quainter two classes will conduct a prayer service for the entire school body centering on  one of the above virtues. GOAL 2 1.  Every Friday teachers and students will participate in sustained reading (SSR). 2.  Reading materials may be provided by teachers as needed to further develop an appreciation of literature.
