Oct .13: Field trip to the Public Library. Permission slip is attached, please fill out and return tomorrow. We will only need two additional adults to accompany us on our trip, so just let me know on the slip.
	Oct .13 5: 30 PM: Mandatory Lightspan meeting for all parents of Grade 2. This is exclusively for second graders. and is a great enrichment for Reading, Phonics, and Math. In order to have your child participate in this Play station program you must attend the brief meeting in our room.
	Oct.31 Halloween party: Children bring costumes to school in a bag or book bag and will change into them after recess. No violent characters are permitted. Treats are welcome, we have 20 goblins in our room.
	Book-It Program: Please use the attached calendar for your child's Book-It for this month. I am asking that you read at least 10-15 minutes per day and document it each day with the amount of time and your initials. Reading is so important for the children and sharing a book with you will make it all the better for them. Thanks for your cooperation!
